Hi, I'm consumer travel advocate Keith Kravitz. Thanks for taking a moment to read my article, "Best Places to View Sunrise, Sunset at Grand Canyon South Rim." The Canyon's landscape is breathtaking. However, if you want to see it at its most intense, try to be there during sunrise or sunset. If you need more convincing, playe the video clip below. Scrolling past the movie, I've posted links to the best Grand Canyon South Rim tours. These are special links that get you up to 35% off. So, plan that Grand Canyon trip, then book it at the cheapest price possible.

Want the Best Deal on Tours to the Grand Canyon's South Rim?

Look No Further. My research shows that these bus, helicopter, and airplane tour operators offer the biggest discounts!

The South Rim is where you go if you want a real Grand Canyon experience. Located in Northern Arizona, the rim (elevation 6,000 feet) is 5.5 hours from Las Vegas and 2.5 hours from Phoenix.

The town of Tusayan, located 10 minutes south of the Park's main entrance, has lodging, dining, and gift stores. It's also home to Grand Canyon Airport and the IMAX theater.

Inside the gates, Grand Canyon Village is the commercial hub. Bright Angel Lodge, Hopi House, El Tovar Hotel, and more are here. The Village is also where most people hop aboard the free shuttle bus and got to points north and east along the rim.

There are two ways to get to the South Rim from Las Vegas: Bus and airplane. These tours include hotel pick up and drop off and lunch. Bus travel time is 5.5 hours, with the plane flight coming in at 45 minutes. Both can be upgraded to include a helicopter flight (recommended).

To save you time and money, I've listed the best South Rim tours at the cheapest price. I research the Internet constantly for the best deals. If costs change, I'll update this page.

The sites listed on the left-hand side are best in their class. These links, too, lead to special promotional pricing offered by the actual tour operator, not a tour broker or travel agent. The Grand Canyon is an experience not to be missed. I hope you make it to the rim. Its a memory you'll cherish for a lifetime.

Have a GRAND day,

The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long and encompasses 1,904 square miles. It starts at the east from Lee's Ferry in Arizona and ends at the Grand Walsh Cliff at Lake Mead in Nevada. The distance from the South Rim to the North Rim is 10 miles, with the widest point being 18 miles. It's a 212-mile from one rim to the other. However, if you want to see as much of the Canyon as possible, including going rim to rim, consider taking a helicopter tour, which can do it all in 35 minutes including crossing the Dragoon Corridor, the widest, deepest part of the Canyon.
